Our Mission
Moms Deserve Rest and Wellness
Everyone tells moms to make time for self-care, but no one tells them how to express those needs. That’s where our book comes in!
The Honey Bees are here to help!
We wouldn’t let our cell phone battery run out, so why do we let our internal batteries run out? Moms are more overstimulated and run down than ever, and expressing the need for rest or self care is often met with push back. The Honey Bees are here to say, enough is enough! Read below to learn more about how the battery metaphor can help you and your little ones.

The Battery Metaphor
In today’s age of technology kids understand charging devices. The battery metaphor, used by Mommy Bee, draws on the similarity of recharging toys to her needs for rest and self-care.
“With all the energy it takes to care for a family, it is very important I get time to recharge my battery”
The book creates a social story for moms and kids to both understand their need for rest, and how to communicate those needs effectively. Use the battery metaphor just like Mommy Bee to let your kids know when you need a break. If you don’t stop to recharge, you won’t be able to go!
